What you will do The primary purpose of this position is to design, develop, test, and deploy customized Child Welfare solutions within the Salesforce platform. The work involves collaborating with various stakeholders to understand business requirements and translating them into efficient and scalable technical solutions for the Child Welfare program. The person in this position must have Salesforce ecosystem expertise. They will customize and configure Salesforce to meet specific business needs, develop and maintain Apex code, Visualforce pages, Lightning components, and integrations between the Child Welfare Technology System and stakeholder technology platforms. They will design and implement scalable solutions that adhere to Salesforce best practices and coding standards. They will perform system testing, debugging, and deployment of applications within the Salesforce environment. They will also create and maintain documentation related to development and configuration activities and stay updated on Salesforce releases, features, and best practices to ensure optimal system performance and sustainability. Responsibilities and Duties Provide technical expertise by coding and developing solutions using Salesforce technologies, such as Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components. Customize and configure Salesforce based on specific business needs, including creating and modifying objects, fields, workflows, and other platform features. Interface with internal and external technical support personnel. Investigate, research, and implement new technologies and interfaces. Work on integrating Salesforce with other systems, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality across different platforms. Perform unit testing on developed solutions to identify and fix issues; collaborate with quality assurance teams when applicable. Track and manage development activities and workflows in Jira Scrum boards and Kanban boards. Conduct reviews/JAD sessions with stakeholders to document business and technical requirements. Perform impact analysis of requirements on existing and proposed software applications and information systems. Create system designs and utilize design patterns that satisfy current and future needs. Review and analyze user requests and design systems aligned with strategic direction. Prepare required effort documentation and project plans with resource projections. Troubleshoot code, software applications, and data issues; address bugs in the Salesforce environment. Proactively monitor and support production applications from hardware and software perspectives for current efficiency and improvement. Engage with business analysts, end-users, and team members to clarify requirements and ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives. Facilitate/participate in technical committees and governance meetings as required. Write technical documentation and diagrams; assist with training materials/user manuals as requested. Maintain documentation for development tasks, including code comments, process flow diagrams, and configuration details. Ensure adherence to standards and procedures; mentor team members and enforce peer reviews where needed. Ensure security measures and privacy/compliance policies are followed; review security scan results and remediate vulnerabilities within required timeframes. Look for opportunities to optimize processes and enhance the Salesforce environment. Required/Desired Skills Experience with lightning component development - Required - 7 Years. Experience developing and maintaining Apex code and Apex Tests - Required - 7 Years. Experience developing and maintaining Visualforce pages - Required - 3 Years. Experience with Salesforce integrations of 3rd Party apps - Required - 7 Years. Experience with data migrations from legacy systems - Required - 3 Years. Experience with Copado - Highly desired - 1 Year. Experience with Copado Robotics Testing - Highly desired - 1 Year. Experience issuing tickets to Salesforce - Highly desired - 1 Year.
