Agile Scrum Master

Onsite in Sterling Heights, MI

Estimated Pay Rate: $55-$70 per hour

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on LCAT, experience, education, certifications, and other factors (geographic location, etc.)

Serve as the Scrum Master for a software development team, ensuring agile practices are followed, removing roadblocks, and promoting continuous improvement to deliver high-quality, safety-critical software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead daily Team Sync meetings, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
• Ensure the development team is following agile practices and Scrum framework
• Remove impediments and blockers that hinder the team's progress
• Assist the product owner in maintaining the product backlog and ensuring work is ready for planning
• Track and communicate team progress and metrics to stakeholders
• Promote continuous improvement and help the team to increase productivity and quality

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in a related field

• This position may require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance)

• Experience working with software development teams

• Proficient in using Jira/GitLab with the ability to interpret and act on Agile metrics

• Experience refining technical requirements for development or proposal efforts

• Program management experience related to schedule and timeline management

• Familiarity with safety-critical systems/software standards (e.g., Mil-Std 882E, ISO 26262)

• Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in a related discipline

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or Certified Product Owner (CSPO)

• Understanding of DevOps/DevSecOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and software release cycles

• Familiarity with defense frameworks such as:

  • Ground Common Infrastructure Architecture (GCIA)

  • Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE)

  • Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA)
