Focal Point Metal Fab is hiring!  We are looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) that will help drive sales growth by securing new business and building upon the relationships we already have.  The ideal candidate should have proven success in metal fabrication and laser cutting sales, possesses a strong technical background and is adept at managing business to business sales cycles from lead generation to project completion.

Focal Point Metal Fab is a custom metal fabrication shop located in Spring Lake, Michigan.  Through Laser cutting and welding, we supply many different industries with fabricated metal parts.  For over 16 years we have been taking pride in quality, quick turnaround, excellence and speedy customer service.

As a BDM , you will have opportunity to put your experience to use in the following areas:

• Generate new business. Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets
• Find customer needs and provide tailored solutions by collaborating with Estimating and Operations to prepare accurate and competitive quotes
• Provide insight into customer needs, and market trends
• Serve as the primary point of contact for new and existing clients, delivering exceptional customer service

We expect the ideal candidate to come to us with the following skills and experience:

• Business or Engineering degree is desirable.
• 5 to 7+ years of experience in fabrication and laser cutting preferred. Hands on experience strongly preferred
• People-person: Works well with people. Humble, Innovative. Wants to Win Together, Delivers Results
• Positive can-do attitude, Self-motivated to initiate new contacts, goal-oriented and able to work independently to achieve sales targets
• Ability to read blueprints and work through technical requirements with customers
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD, Radan, SolidWorks) and the Microsoft Office Suite
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel for on-site client visits
