Dts Brokerage

The for DTS Brokerage will be responsible for sourcing transportation providers and providing tracking updates as needed to support customer requests. Develop a carrier coverage strategy and have full autonomy for supporting a customer's truckload & LTL coverage needs. Directly engage with Account Executives, Shipment Management Associates (SMA) and Business Development Managers as needed to build a network of service providers that allows them the ability to foster an effective carrier network to support any and all freight transportation needs that a customer desires.

Essential Functions

• Tenders accept/reject loads, creates loads, sets appointments, dispatches, tracks and traces loads, root cause problem solves issues, and resolves/communicates to carrier and/or customer as appropriate.
• Identifies and develops relationships with transportation providers to ensure adequate coverage to maximize penetration of customer freight portfolio through soliciting capacity.
• Negotiates rates with transportation providers to ensure that margins are achieved for commission targets and account goals. • Manages day-to-day planning and scheduling of coverage for loads to ensure proper all customer's needs are met in the agreed upon time period.

Additional Responsibilities

• Continuous improvement in all segments of the business.
• Schedules and dispatches while ensuring compliance of Federal, State, and Local regulations. Responsible for timely updating of load statuses to the TMS.
• Maintains a positive employee related climate and maintains a customer satisfaction index at a World Class Level while having availability 24/7/365 for responsibilities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma/GED, required
• Bachelor's Degree in in Transportation Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field, preferred.
• 3 years or more in business experience, required.
• Working knowledge of Transportation Industry, carrier modes & services and basic Supply Chain design and functionality. Advanced, required.
• Knowledge and support of RIL policies and procedures. Advanced, required.
• Demonstrated PC skills in MS Access, Excel, Word. Clear understanding of SMS legacy system. Intermediate, required.
• Understanding of assigned customer, customer product and distribution requirements. Intermediate, required.

Compensation Information

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below:

Pay Type: Salaried

Minimum Pay Range: 50000

Maximum Pay Range: 55000
