Job Title: Instrument Operator Job Description Join a dynamic team where you will play a critical role in supporting the Survey Crew Chief with daily field operations. Responsibilities + Assist the Survey Crew Chief in daily field operations. + Set up and operate survey instruments including total stations, GPS, levels, and data collectors. + Perform measurements for boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys. + Maintain field equipment and ensure proper care and calibration. + Record and organize field data accurately. + Follow company safety standards and protocols on job sites. Essential Skills + Experience in land surveying or related field (1-3 years). + Familiarity with survey equipment such as Trimble. + Ability to work outdoors in various conditions and lift/carry equipment. + Strong work ethic and attention to detail. + Team player with good communication skills. + Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Additional Skills & Qualifications + CST level 1 or CST level 2 certification is a plus. + All certifications will increase candidate's pay. Work Environment Employees must report to the office every day at 6:30 am. A company vehicle will be provided to travel to job sites. The company is transitioning to submitting reports via iPhone/iPad. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eastpointe, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
