Every game they can make for over two years is sold.The Game Designer is involved in the development of new game designs, theme designs, game flow and the overall vision of the game. This role is responsible for directing the execution of the vision by game artists, animators and developers.The Game Designer works in a collaborative small team environment with a group of exceptionally talented artists, animators, software engineers, and game designers to provide the best gaming experience for the slot player. The ability to effectively lead a team while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure is crucial.ResponsibilitiesParticipates in the creation and review of original game designs, new game themes and concepts for electronic gaming slot machines.Reviews game software during development to verify game play and all game elements are of high quality.Creates and maintains all documents and files required for game development and submission to external regulators.Act as the end-to-end project manager for multiple slot games, from kickoff to completionMaintain and report project status and health to stakeholdersManage a team of individual contributors from multiple disciplines (art, animation, software engineering), keeping the team motivated and engaged through recognition, conflict resolution, and relationship buildingSchedule, facilitate, and document team meetings to capture status of projectsSet priorities and assign tasks using JIRA and other project management softwareContinually play the team's games while in development to ensure functionality and production value meets the game's design requirements and expected department standardsCollaborate with other game producers/designers to identify common issues and communicate issue status and resolutionsRequirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience requiredBackground in mathematicsRequires a minimum of three years of experience in game design and developmentStrong understanding of game design concepts in gamingProven ability to create game conceptsKey contributor in the design and development of successful core and entertainment productsAbility to work in teams, with managers and able to collaborate with creative and technical disciplinesThinks big and adapts to change in a creative environmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsSelf-driven, responsible and detail-oriented person who can multi-task and deliver high quality work on timeProficient in Microsoft Office programsProficient in JIRA or other project/task management softwareLocation: You may live anywhere in Texas or Nevada (the states where this company is a registered employer)Relocation expenses are paid - to anywhere in those states you want to live.Remote work from homeBenefits: Medical, dental, vision 100% coverage for employeeGenerous vacation401k**About the Company:**In 2019 this company inked a deal with the world's largest game distributor and has never looked back.
