***This role is eligible for a sign-on bonus!*** RS Cabinet Maker II in GAC St. Louis Unique Skills: This position is for Systems Integration weekend and second shift. Experience in aircraft cabinet assembly/disassembly, avionics, and plumbing is required. Experience with Catia and Microsoft Office suite is preferred. The compensation range for this role is $24.75 - $28.87 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, and location. At least 2 years of cabinetmaking experience. Knowledge of Gulfstream inspection and process specifications is preferred. Aerospace industry experience is a plus. Position Purpose: Under general supervision, fabricates aircraft furniture and other wood-surfaced subassemblies according to specifications, design, and engineering drawings, emphasizing safety, quality, detail, and productivity. Assists team members to enhance techniques supporting quality workmanship. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Fabricates furniture and other wood-surfaced subassemblies using blueprints, specifications, and drawings. Assembles, pins, and glues cabinet shells; installs hardware and applies exterior surface materials. Uses stationary and hand-held power tools for fabrication and disassembly. Follows all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies, using PPE as required. Utilizes the material tracking system for parts demand, squawk tracking, and work sign-off. Additional Functions: Collaborates with lead and skilled technicians to implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma and other techniques. Performs other duties as assigned. Other Requirements: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift. Computer literate. Basic knowledge of cabinetmaking processes, products, and tools.
