Special Education Teacher Opportunity Elementary School Setting

This full-time contract role is designed for a dedicated Special Education Teacher skilled in supporting elementary students within a structured school environment. Located in the Detroit metropolitan area, this position involves working on-site to provide specialized instruction and support for students requiring tailored educational plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure effective delivery of special education services.
• Provide resource support for elementary students with diverse learning needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and track student progress.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of educational strategies.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Special Education (SPED) teaching license.
• Experience working as an elementary resource Special Education Teacher.
• Proven ability to write and manage IEPs effectively.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to onsite presence throughout the school year.

Assignment Details:

• Location: Dearborn, MI area, serving elementary students.
• Position Type: Contract, full-time (35 hours per week).
• Duration: ASAP start through end of school year (approximately June 5, 2026).
• Setting: Elementary school environment.
• Interview Format: Remote via Zoom.
