Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This middle school opportunity in Denver, CO seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students within a specialized classroom setting. The role involves working full-time during the school year in an onsite capacity, collaborating closely with a team of paraprofessionals to deliver high-quality education tailored to students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction and support to students in a self-contained special education (SSN) classroom
• Collaborate with three paraprofessionals assigned to the classroom to ensure effective classroom management and student support
• Assist students with physical needs, including lifting and diaper changes as required
• Maintain compliance with state educational standards and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) certification in Special Education is required
• Previous experience working in Colorado schools preferred
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and administration

Location and Work Schedule:

• Onsite position located in Denver, CO at a middle school
• Full-time contract covering the current school year

Selection Process:

• Two-step interview: initial remote interview with the school principal followed by an in-person classroom observation visit
