Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at a middle school located in Littleton, CO. This contract role spans the current school year and focuses on providing specialized support in a self-contained classroom setting. The role is designed to work onsite with a strong emphasis on delivering tailored education plans to students with special needs.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction to students in a self-contained classroom
• Collaborate with three support paraprofessionals assigned to assist in classroom management and student support
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse student needs
• Manage physical care duties as required, including lifting students and diaper changing
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate with parents and school staff

Qualifications:

• Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Certification required
• Experience working in Colorado schools preferred, particularly in special education settings
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to work onsite full-time in a middle school environment
• Willingness to participate in a two-step interview process: remote interview with the principal followed by an in-person classroom visit
