This role involves drafting and designing structural projects, conducting site surveys, and collaborating with a team to support legal actions on faulty construction. The ideal candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills and have a degree in Structural Engineering. Responsibilities Travel to job sites across New Jersey. Inspect beams, draw sketches, and create drawings under the guidance of a Project Manager. Conduct site surveys and participate in walkthroughs with engineers and inspectors to determine drafting needs. Write detailed reports on site findings. Collaborate with engineers to develop repair plans and specifications. Assist Professional Engineers and Licensed Architects in building cases against contractors. Use AutoCAD to draft and design construction repair drawings. Utilize Bluebeam for data entry. Operate CAD software effectively. Essential Skills Degree in Structural Engineering. Strong communication skills. Proficiency in drafting and designing structural projects. Experience with AutoCAD. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in site analysis report writing. Background in building-related engineering. Ability to communicate independently with clients. Experience in insurance claims, site investigation, and root cause analysis. The work environment is a modern design studio with the latest Revit and AutoCAD software. The pay range is $36.00 - $40.86/hr., with benefits including health insurance, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation benefits, and PTO.
